50+ Hrs in the first month...

Well, we have the B2320 for a little over a month now and its already time for the 50 Hr service... Am I seeing some of the posts here correctly and people have tractors out there that are years old and haven't hit 50 hrs yet???

So put on hours just like you! And some add them slower. Many put on hours faster when they just get them after the initial work is done.

That's alot of hours in a month... especially if your hour meter is like mine. I spend three hours working and the hour meter moves about .6 hours. When I trade up, someone will get a tractor with nice low hours!

My old tractor was "hours at pto rpm." So if I modulated the throttle (which I usually did) then it only recorded a fraction of the actual run time. My dad's old Massey is the same way. My new tractor records actual time running so it racks up hours a lot faster.

In 7 months of owning my old tractor it recorded 22 hours. In one month on my new tractor it recorded 11. Same amount of weekly usage on both.

I have 67 on mine. got it on Good Friday in April.

Probably go a little slower now, I had a pretty good sized project to work on every evening after work.

out of all my tactors: JD 3120, Bx 22, KX 91, Bx 25, Bx 1830, GT-235, X-575, L-2800 I put the most hours on my BX-22, (450) At the time the work was good and the BX-22 was the perfect tractor for the task at hand. I was hoping to do more with the KX-91 until the economy flopped. who knows when our tax and spend Government will halt their attempt to bankrupt America.

The amount of hours you put on is relative to the amount of work you do and in what time period you do it. It's pretty simple:

A lot of work in a short amount of time = a lot of hours adding up fast
Little work over a long period of time = few hours adding up slowly

Pretty simple.


That aside, when we first got the BX, I put a lot of hours on it very quickly. Now that most of the projects that I was able to do are done, the hours are adding up a lot slower...
