How to rig an X595 to mow in reverse

Hey CCSIAL, just wondering how you like the SE seat. I think they want about $500 for the seat and another $125 for the mounts. Not 100% sure whether I need the extra mounts or not. Anyway do you think its worth the money?

I know I'm late to the party, but when did this RIO system become standard equipment on JD mowers? My last mower was a 81 400 and you could mow anyway you wanted.

From what I have read, it became required in '04 after a mother didn't look behind her, backed over he child with the deck on and filed a lawsuit against the mower mfg for permitting the blades to run while the machine was in reverse.

Even though mower blades have run in reverse since the dawn of grass cutting. Personal responsibility - what's that?

The cost would be worth it to me. My lawns are not all smooth. With the suspension seat I don't take any of the gut wrenching jars now.
