My tractor is a couple years old with 32 hours just picked it up if you missed my electrical thread. The manual says every 50 hrs to grease the fittings. It also says to apply a little.

So my question is. Can I just pump grease in there until it comes out or are there rubber bushings in there that hold the grease in? If so I wouldn't want to blow it out by over filling.

This will be my first post to "help" someone. Usually I'm asking the questions. On my Lk3054 you pump till you see it begin to excape. Yours is newer than my `new' one but on occasion a zerk won't except the grease. Sometimes this will sort of lock up the tip with built up pressure. You can loosen the tip from it's mount on the hose this breaks the pressure lock. You may need to move the joint not accepting the grease to get it to open up. I had a few like that. I haven't greased anything since my 60 land rover. Wish I had kept it. Getting lots of practice now. Best of luck w/the new machine.

Front End Loader Zerks need grease every 10 hours of operation of the loader. Your manual will confirm this.. Chassis Zerks need grease every 50 hours.. the Front axle pivot zerks both front and back just get 2 or 3 pumps maximum you will not see any grease oozing out anywhere ever on these. ( it hides in the front axle housing.) the other chassis zerks. you will see grease escape usually, and you can stop there.
No need to overgrease, but it helps to push out any old dry grease and any possible water that may have gotten in. Example if you power wash, you should then grease to push out water that sneaks into the joints. Good luck

Welcome to the forum. Some zerk fittings will jam up for whatever reason. You can remove and clean them, sometimes, or use the tool suggested above. I try to clean them after replacing the fitting with another and keep the gummed up one as a spare for possible later use. Zerks are ONLY available through your Kioti dealer; everyone has tried buying them elsewhere to no avail. I suggest getting a few extras to have on hand. Buy a good quality synthetic grease for best results.

Thanks fellas. They're not jammed that I'm aware of. I bought a nice industrial grease it was recommended over the synthetic stuff they had and mention industrial uses so that should be more then good.

Main question was how much the manual was specific about pumping a little. I know on some of those fittings I e found a rubber bushing. Well I found it after I pumped it up with grease and it was buldging. Think that was on a car.

Anyway, that doesn't sound like the case with the tractor so I'll cycle some through. Thanks for the help folks.

Just bought a box scraper from a neighbor. Only 5ft but it'll work for now gave me a fair price. Didn't have a top link pin so I couldn't play last night. :(

Rubber bushing you're referring to is a dust boot for a ball joint, etc. Most zerks on the tractor are tapped into a sleeve holding a pin, like on the loader, etc. Best bet on tractor is a couple of pumps and then on to the next zerk.

I grease mine on a regular basis as you can't harm it. The only thing is to wipe around and get the excess grease off so it dosen't spread all over your pretty tractor.:D

lol I hear ya Alien. She got all dusty last night doing the drive.

I'm probably going to get kicked out of here for this, but I actually waxed my tractor when I brought it home.:ashamed:

I'll grease those zerks before my next session. Thanks again all.

I haven't waxed a car of mien 15 or 20 years. Got the new DK40se last week and actually considered waxing it! A good tractor is so much more fun than a new car!

I had to replace one and couldn't find any in amongst my lot that would screw in (properly) If they don't start easy, don't try it. They snap off real easy and then you have to get them out.

I have got thread guages but haven't bothered trying them. I go past my dealer on a regular basis so I might just grab a few to have on hand.

A couple of observations: If a greased joint had a sealed boot grease sparingly. If it is open to the weather pump in graese until clean grese comes out. If water comes out pump in grease until no more water comes out, the exception being a water pump fitting. Not many of those around any more. Most importantly WIPE the Dirt off before attaching the grease coupler. Grit and grease equal lapping compound, not what you want in your joints (well maybe in yours but not the tractors).Makes the coupler last a lot longer too.
I'm just a beginner on greasing, got started about 1954 in a service station, been doing some ever since.

I did a while ago and don't remember exactly what I came up with but one size tap did fit fairly well. It seemed to be metric, but I've read here at TBN where MIE has stated that its BPT, (British pipe thread); I can't confirm or deny this theory, but I can say it is certainly plausible since no-one can find any matching zerks except through the dealer network.

Along a similar line, has anyone else noticed the odd size of the ROPS pins on their Kioti.
I lost one of mine and assumed there would be a standard size for ROPS pins. From memory the Kioti pin is a little over 15mm maybe 0.6 of an inch. Anyway after trying several pin suppliers I couldn't get a match and ended up forking out the big dollars for the genuine Kioti pin .

Beginner. Haha

I had actually did what you said before I read it.

I looked in the manual for the zerks and noticed I only had one on the rear of my ck30. The manual shows about five of them. Are mine sealed or something that's odd.

Can't speak to your equipment directly but here is a tip. If something turns, rotates or swings search the area thoroughly, especially the most illogical places for a fitting. Sometimes it is easier to find fittings by feel. Rub off any accumulated mud, dirt etc. in the area that looks like it should be greased and look it over thoroughly. If there is a spot you can't possibly get to with a grease gun there is a fitting there for sure. Good luck...

Aint that the truth, my new Kioti has a couple of "doozeys" that are hard to get to.. and why in heck could they have not put a right angle Zerk in, is beyond me.. Just 2 that I can think of that are a pain, but they are there on the pedal linkage.

Angle fitting cost fifteen cents and straight are only a dime, they have to save a nickle any place they can. They will sell you an angle fitting at the dealer for fifty cents that you can put in yourself, you don't need to save money.
