9 banded armadillo is considered an invasive species that impacts quail and turkeys as well as other ground nesting birds. You see, it won't walk past an egg without eating it. And since it has it's own
bean can exterior, it can't be persuaded otherwise.
They are
everywhere here, I don't think even a coyote will eat them...really
They are good for other things:
They were referred to as poor mans pork in east Texas during the depression and are actually protected in some areas.
The term "Panzerschwein" was given to them by Texas settlers from Germany. I think it means "schnitzel tank" :laughing:
