I have a couple of racoons living under my camp..What can I use to get them out..I'm thinking some kind of smoke bomb ..some kids went back to the camp and left the crawl space window open..racoons stayed for the winter..Now I want them out..I have a live trap but I only go there on the week ends..Be quite smelly by friday

Your crawl space is their home now and that is where they are going to go to die if they are injured or poisoned. So anything you do on Sunday and come back to on Friday will be stinky.

Is there a way someone can crawl in to scare them out? Then you can board up their opening and they will move to another location.

Do you know anybody that has a couple of coon hounds that you could borrow or get to go there with you? I would say take a little Jack Russell but the coons deserve a chance too:D

crawl space is to small for some one to crawl into..Isn't there a way to make a smoke bomb with out fire??then wait around until they come out ,then board it up.i don't know anybody with coon hounds.I think I read some where add some pool chlorine to some diesel fuel makes lots of smoke but doesn't that give off flames to??

thats what I was thinking..they are nasty when they are cornered...maybe I'll make smoke by adding some mix oil to the gas in the generator and let it run until the thing comes out then board it up

You don't even have to go in there. You need to install a one way door. I saw it done on Billy the Exterminator. The coons have to come out to forage for food. Once the door closes behind them, they can't reenter. You need to get it done before mating season, and babies are born, or you will have the babies still inside. One Way Doors For Wildlife Removal

Throw a bunch of moth balls in there at about 4;00 pm then leave till about 8 pm and board the entrance up. Worked for me..:D

We had them under our deck and in the roof of our barn last year. I got advice that they'd leave once the babies were mobile, and they did. The challenge is that they'll come back to the same place the following year. Under the deck, I tacked up a bunch of chicken wire, which they hate. So far, that's kept them from nesting under there. The barn was more of a challenge, because I could never be sure they were out in order to seal up the soffits they were using to get in. In the end, we put up two strands of electric fence at ground level around the full perimeter of the barn. That did the trick. Fixed the soffits and then took down the electric wire. They came straight back this spring, of course, and tried to claw their way back in, but so far it's holding.

They come out every night to feed. Find where you think their route of entry is and place a coon trap baited with deer corn. They're easy to catch.

We are on our 3rd one for a pet. Even one that thinks you are a friend can be extremely intimidating when cornered. They can and will get into everything!! Given sufficient time they can overcome most obstacle you put in the way. The coontroller looks like a decent option if you actually secure the rest of the crawl space. If there is no food source under the cabin they may go on there way. You can check with HVAC supply houses for the smoke bombs that they use to test smoke dectors in a full system. It may not be irritating enough though!

Live trap them, bait with sardines, they are easy to catch.

Nice to see some real/solid advice

Maybe I'm stupid or just feel my coon hound is a best friend, but I don't care how nice my neighbors are I would never send him into harms way into a crawl space with a wild animal
