My dealer called yesterday and asked if he could stop by. He said he had something for me. I was 20 miles away at another guys farm so he told me he'd leave it by the garage. I had no idea what it was. When I got home this is what I found on my work bench!

I'd be afraid to put it up around here. Every once in a while the local brats take a baseball bat to them. But I LIKE it!

MY DEALER, MY DEALER.......... WOW! This is why dealer don't go that extra mile. Dealer drives over to your home to give you a fantastic gift and in appreciation when you had an opportunity to reward him with some world wide advertising you refer to him as "MY DEALER". Now if that's the name of the dealership I half way apologize since you did at least tell his dealership name but only half apologize since you didn't tell us the town where he is located.:(:(:(
If you had a complaint about how bad he had been, would you have told his name, town or enough clues so anyone or at least anyone local could figure out who he is?
I say SHAME, SHAME, SHAME :(:(:( on you for not telling who and where done this great deed especially after the bad dealers thread that has been running for several days/weeks.

He could put it up by the porch or by the shop ... I agree the locals would probably knock the hill out of it.

Yes, a good dealer supersedes a good deal! Fortunately, I got have both with my dealer! The mailbox is too cool, but I have the same problem the other posters mention with the vandals.

What if you already bought a tractor there and didn't get a gift? Just saying there may be an argument for maintaining some privacy. Also, the last dealer problem thread I read did not identify the dealer even after requests by posters.

OP: Congrats on the cool gift and good dealer.

Envious of your dealer... Hey where *EXACTLY* are you located??? :D Kudos for your dealer

PS... I'm asking for your street address... ie. where the mail box will be located... Not about your dealer ;)

JOHNTHOMAS,
Very few things I have ever read on TBN rubbed me the wrong way but look at you go! No I wouldn't bash his name here over any dispute. Out of respect for peoples privacy I wouldn't mention a close friend by name online, I do the same for him. (MY DEALER falls into both categories) Did you ever think he may have said "Don't you tell anyone where you got that, I can't afford to give everybody one"? (He didn't but it could have happened that way)

So does everyone think I need to include his name? I appreciate every last thing MY DEALER does for me. Even if I didn't post it publicly I would tell anyone that asked through PM.

Very nice, we have to use a mailbox made by Rubbermaid due to people knocking boxes off.

Spoke my piece here and then deleted it. I feel better now.

Until, I started following this thread and reading the posts in regards to mailbox vandalism, I suppose that we are fortunate in that our mailbox has never been damaged. A truck ran off the roadway one time and tore down some fence, but the mailbox was spared. None of our neighbors has ever reported any malicious activity either in regards to their mailboxes. If memory serves me correct, doesn't mailbox vandalism enter the realm of Federal Statues?

I have had 3 of my mailboxes destroyed by vandals, and the last one when the mail carrier last winter slid their vehicle into it when they went to take off after delivering the mail(Yes I saw the tracks in the snow that night when I got home and got my mail)
Of course the mail carrier did not bother to report themself
:(
