This all reminds me of a story my Dad told long about how the different brands of tractors got their names. I don't remember all the story, but a fellow was asked to listen to the tractors running, and then come up with a name.

So the first one was green and he said, "That reminds me of my sweet wife calling me . . . John Deere"

The next one was a bit loud and he said, "Boy, that's a Case."

Now does anyone remember the rest of the story?:laughing:

JD makes some of the best engines in the world. I have seen Jd engines run for over 50,000 hours in NC heat with out failure. Why in the world would they not use JD engines in there JD compact tractors??? Nothing against Japanese engines but when I bought my Kubota B7800 new it was a Kubota with a Kubota engine. I looked at JD but the Yanmar turned me off. Why, I dont know, but I bet I'm not the only one that feels this way. Dave .
