"O" rings snapping

OK, I have a BX25 I just got this summer and I notice that there are these "O" rings that are just breaking on several hydraulic cylinders. Are these just protective rings for the painting of the tractor or do I have a problem here?

Just there for Paint... You could remove all of them.. KennyV

JD has them also and the manual says to remove them before using.

Thanks for reply's, I did not see anything in the manual about the rings. It appears they are "self removing" anyway.
