Doesn't seem like very good advertising that when you lift my attachment with not even a full load it will go up on two wheels and have to be pulled out, but hey, I enjoyed watching it!

Well, those skid steers are so tipsy in the best of days. Back in my young and stupid days of college in Texas, we used to take the schools two skid steers and have wrestling events with them. The point was to see who could flip the other operator on their side first. Was alot of fun... for a stupid college kid. And let me tell you it didnt take much to flip one.

Looks like Ted needs a little more experience before he attempts these stunts. Glad the Kubota came to the rescue and got it back on all 4.

Good one.
I guess he didn't want to run the skid steer to let go of the tree. Apparently he wanted to dump it in the ditch.

Pulling backwards with the tractor is not ideal.

I didn't know cabbage palms would grow in Newton.

Thats the nice thing about a simple bucket, you simply roll the joystick to dump the load in an emergency. more steps to roll and open the grapple at the same time..and 2 seconds to do it.

Bounce, bounce, stop, tip. Skidsteers can get squirrely rather quickly. I've been lucky so far.

Nice "jerk the chain" drill. Would have been something to see the chain break & the SS finish the forward roll!!:D MikeD74T

That is hilarious....because nobody was hurt. Good to see if the best of them can take a joke and show their mistakes.

+1:thumbsup: on the destruction of the vid.. why in heck didnt Ted let go of the log at least when they tried to upright the SS? Maybe the SS died and he could not get the jaws open before he got out is all I can think of.

Yeah, can't say I'd race to post a video of myself doing that. If there were a video of me doing that, I'd have to fuzz my face out and claim it was someone else.

Why'd they pull with the tractor going in reverse? Is there a good reason to do it that way, or is it possibly because they had something hooked to the back of the tractor and hooking the chain to the front was easier?

Peanut is the man............Pretty easy to see that our man Ted has spent little time on a skidsteer.....He was lucky...........that could have gone all wrong. Maybe Peanut need to be operator going forward.

I agree, and this is not really that funny. IF there was a post in front of the SS rather that rails it could have gone very wrong. Glad Ted was alright. I enjoy his video's

apparently Ted is not very familiar with that skidsteer. NH super boom is designed to move the bucket out as it goes up. This is great for loading, but can make it tip if fully loaded. You can usually tell this with your butt (or seat of your pants), and recover before tipping. A good reason to wear your seat belt!
