Does anyone know what model hydraulic pump this is. All it says on it is Eaton. The closest I've come to id myself is an L2 model gear pump but not sure.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a similar pump by Eaton.

That pump turns clockwise looking at the shaft.

If you can fine the stamped number, there is enough data here to tell you everything you want to know.

There should be a number on the flange. Take some pictures all around the flange.

Use a wire brush and clean all around the lip of the hyd pump, and put your camera underneath the pump and click off several pictures, or use a mirror to see the numbers.

Numbers may be stamped on the lip of the mounting flange.

The nine Eaton Series L2 models are numbered from 25500 to 25508. Model 25500 is the smallest Series L2 gear pump, with a displacement of 1.30 cubic inches per revolution.

Thanx, I found a serial number on the mounting flange but it doesn't match what you gave me. I'm going to take it off of the mount and look all around.
I'll post what I find.

That number looks like someone put that n umber on with an engraver. The Eaton number is usually stamped on the outside of the flange, or stamped on a tag.

This is similar to the numbers stamped on my Eaton pumps.

Single Pump - Product Number:
7 0 5 2 3 - R A A

This is what the numbers mean.

A - Product Number Description
70523 = Single Piston Pump
70553 = Single Piston Pump, w/ Aux. Flange
B - Rotation
L - Left Hand (CCW)
R - Right Hand (CW)
C - Sequential Numbering

Is this off of a transmission or gear box? It doesn't look like any "standard" pump configuration I have ever seen.

To be honest, I don't know what it is off off. It's a hydraulic pump on a homemade tractor that I bought and am restoring.
That's why I was trying to id it so I knew what it was capable of.:)

It could be from Eaton's Fuller division (transmissions).
Vane pump? Just guessing...but something to look into.

I was able to look inside from behind where the hoses attach. it's definitely a gear pump.

Do some looking around for Cessna pumps. Probably a Cessna.

The pump is made by EATON. Look at the pictures. It turns clockwise.

Cessna is an Eaton brand...like Vickers or Aeroquip. Still thinking it's a Cessna...

Didn't Eaton also a have a gear pump line based in South Carolina prior to the Cessna buy out? Or was this Vickers and then Eaton bought Vickers? This looks old enough to be prior to Vickers Eaton merger.
