OK, you've got me. I did too many figure 8's. Here's what I'll do to make it up. If you see Wayne's train giving rides somewhere, and you post on TractorByNet I'll give you a free ride, 'til tuesday.

Perhaps in the future, you should only drive in a clock-wise pattern. That would help to counter the counter-clockwise rotational force of the low pressure associated with a hurricane. It might require you to move up to a B to take advantage of the 3 range HST with higher ground speed. But don't overdo it as people will start to worry about the centrifical force tossing riders young and old.

KU Gator I will take your advice and implement it right away. I'm sending out a memo to all department heads to draw up plans and...she said no.

Wayne's Train said:
The train has pulled about 4000 lbs of coaches and people up and down hills with the BX, and about 6000 lbs with all 6 coaches on level pavement.

Good to know the BX has that capacity. Thanks.

I'm curious. Many comments about safety etc., but not a single cooment that recognizes Wayne charges a fee.

1. He may have insurance - but does the insurance company know this is a commercial venture? If not, they will disallow any claims.

2. Wouldn't this level of towing on a small tractor like a BX25 - require substantial increases in transmission and drive train preventive maintance? Also more frequent engine oil changes etc. etc.. Possibly some additional cooler for tranny/hydraulic?

You guys make me chuckle, I haul this several dozen times a season up a rocky valley trail 1/2 mile long and a 16 to 18 degree grade. As the Oak and Ash are heavy, I slam 85 pounds of air in the trailer tires and I'm good to go.
And some of you guys rag on with this fellow taking some kids out for a ride on a nice big flat trailer on the flat pavement yet, I mean like cut him some slack already. A Bx will pull that load with one eye closed, my Bx2350 will on the flat pull a four wheeled wagon packed with six big round alfalfa bales, of course hitting the brakes or going down hill with that load would be pointless as well as stupid and I don't think that Kubota would recommend hauling a load like that but the bx 2350 will do it.

That is a good grade, nice pics...looks heavy.

85 psi in the tires! WOW! My BX-25 manual says that for a tractor with the loader on, the rear 26x12-12 Industrial tires should have 20 psi and the front 18x8.5-10 should have 25 psi.

I did say 85 lb's in the trailer tires. In the tractor tires it sure would get bouncy not to mention downright weird.

Oops, sorry about that.

I must have blinked or something, not sure how I missed it.

Trailer tires...that makes more sense.

Thanks all for commenting. Yes my insurer knows it's a commercial venture. David, you're right. This tractor doesn't even breath hard with this application. It does it with no sweat. Most of the time it's in high range, pulls away fine. I keep an eye on the temperature and rely on my observation skills that I've developed from over 2.5 million miles of commercial trucking along with proper maintenance and pre trip inspections. Most people use a riding lawnmower for this kind of thing. Haven't you seen them? My other engine that I've used for 7 years (and still do) is a Craftsman GT5000. I use the BX24 when I need that extra bit of control. Go to a marina sometime and see what they move the big boats around the dry docks with. It's really not that complicated.
