It sounds like you're getting some traction even though it may take a while for things to straighten out. I certainly respect that your boss appears to have stepped in and become proactive on your behalf. As a business owner and employer myself (not in a tractor related industry) I feel that employer loyalty to employees is an important part of attracting and keeping good workers and usually is a good indicator of how a business treats customers as well.

Of course the same observations could be made regarding reps, distributors, and manufacturers right up the line as well. How people like yourself are treated during this transition will be an important test of how well the reorganized new franchise will fare going forward. In short situations like yours are early and great opportunities for them to prove themselves.

Keep on top of this and keep us updated. I would also recommend that you remember to thank those that are instrumental in getting results for you. We are often quick to jump on situations that aren't right so we should also be consistent at pointing out those that get it right.

I sure hope that you will have a long and happy relationship with your new tractor!

Thanks again skyssx. That is more than a dealer I asked could tell me.I hope Befco brand is decent. Good Luck on your deck as well.

Why can't you run someone else's deck off the back of that tractor instead of a mid mount mower?

Is there not a deck that could be removed from a unsold unit sitting on some dealers lot, that a rep could request:then sell that unit without a deck. That would get you covered and the other unit could be sold without promising someone a deck.

Well, the three point hitch was "ordered" along with the deck. There's a back hoe attached just now. As for removing a deck from a salable unit, if you were a dealer, you'd probably be pretty loathe to part with that right now. It'll shake out, though. I spent most of the daylight today on a 48" zero turn mower. Only mired it in the mud once and used the Yanmar to extract it.

I wouldn't part with a deck off a brand new machine if I was a dealer. I had a 6 foot MM deck on my Cub. I got tired of repairing parts on it that were worn and replaced it with a 7 foot rear discharge Land Pride rear mount deck. It was the smartest thing that I have done for mowing. The MM deck cut nicer and was faster to mow with. It also left clumps of grass out of the side discharge when wet or cutting tall grass. If you broke or lost a mounting pin you were screwed unless you had a spare with you. I don't miss it.

Got the 3PH Tuesday and the mm60 today. The mower is still in my truck bed as I couldn't find anyone to help unload it this evening. Thanks to all who gave advice and support. More at some later date.

That's great news! When you get the time let us know the people that were instrumental in getting this done for you. It's important to recognize them for their efforts. I think that everyone on this forum appreciate people that are ready to help out when service for our tractors are an issue.

I hope that you are now prepared to enjoy a long and happy relationship with your new tractor. Let us know how it goes for you.

Good to hear you finally got everything. As for getting the mower out of your truck, I would have put a few straps around it and used the fel to lift it, then drove the truck out from under it.

The three point hitch ended up being available from a few dealers in the region, our CC rep, Harry, picked it up and delivered it by hand. Harry also found an available deck through Yanmar and arranged to have it delivered from out of the region on Yanmar's dime. Sorry for still being so vague, I haven't asked about what information I can post for public viewing.

I ended up just using four people to lift out the deck, couldn't get the FEL centered over the bed without impacting the side. Stupid high belt lines and all.

Today was a day off. Last night I removed the back hoe and front end loader and set out everything I would need on a table next to the tractor. The instructions were rather confusing; there were a few incorrect statements and several omissions of steps. I'm not sure, but I think on the 2400, you can just bolt up the lift shaft directly to the frame. On the 2450, you've got to remove four bolts and two nuts, remove the lift points from the frame, disassemble and reassemble the lift shaft with the beefier swivels and reinstall them. The instructions tell you to do this, but don't mention actually assembling the shaft, they say to discard the original bolts and use the new ones, except that doesn't work because they're too short. Then, there's no torque listed for those six fasteners. The issue, I believe, is that there are some reenforcing plates installed with the back hoe. Later on, the pictures show the lift arms installed one way, but it's backwards. You will only find this out after throwing the deck under and finding that nothing lines up. Again, no torque listed for the bolt holding the lift arm retention pin in place. The bend in the up-stop is pictured correctly on the right side, but it is not mentioned in the text. One final issue I didn't address today, the right side of the deck is lower than the left. If I ride it on the wheels, it cuts great, i'll have to fix this before I go cutting long grass.

I did a little test mowing, but it's a swamp out there right now. Seems like the whole machine is quieter than any eXmark i've used, I didn't even need to wear ear protection.

And I thought it was just me. I ran into the same issues.

And yes, very quiet.

Sorry about the poor instructions, that's pretty discouraging. Not very much engineering/attention to detail there.
I can't remember how the SC2400 deck was set up when I dropped it, but I know on my other tractor there are 2 adjustable hex handle bolts that will adjust the deck height on both sides. I would think the SC deck has the same?
You're putting on the 3-pt and ? a front hitch? Blade/blower?
