Buying Advice Alis Chamler 3 row no till planter?

ok I am new to this site but have been lurking for some time now. Here's the question.

I am thinking about buying a 3 row no till alis chambler planter, is there any pro's or con's i need to know up front and is $1000 a good price.

What do i need to look at to make sure all works properly?
I plan to only plant food plots with it. thanks for the info up front guys

What crops do you intend to plant? I don't know anything about that AC planter, but if it's like the JD 71 flex planter, you use different seed plates for different plants. I'd ask the seller how that planter is set up now and if it can be reconfigured for the crops you're interested in.

Is it a refurbished/reconditioned planter? If so, the moving parts should have been restored to factory condition.

The only way to really check it out is to attach it to a tractor and run some seed through it.
