PTO shaft for tiller

I just bought a new 48" KingKutter tiller for my B2400 and thought I was
cutting the shaft for it to the proper length for my tractor but somehow I
missed and it is too short. I know I can get both pieces of the tubular shaft
from KingKutter in 5' lengths but it is kind of expensive. Does anyone know
another source for getting these parts? I only need 25" of each.

If you need 5" just purchase an extender like this. $20-25.00

Thanks much. I had no idea there was such a thing available. 5" is exactly
what I need.

Those extenders from HayTools are also great if you ever get a Pat's Quick Connect for your 3 PH.

You said that the PTO shaft was too short. It doesn't need to engage the entire length of the shaft. If you have 4" to 5" of engagement then it will be fine.

From the sound of it, the shaft was cut so short that the two pieces won't engage when on the tractor. (The shaft separates when engaging to the tractor.) Then you have a problem.
