Someone posted about a problem with their diff lock on their 2815hst in the parts/repair forum recently. I was looking at Mahindra online parts diagrams http://www.mahindrapartsplus.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=MHD to see what the 2815 differential looked like and couldn't help but notice it seemed to look exactly how I remembered a differential I had been looking at recently in my Mitsubishi manual. Sure enough I get my manual out again and the diff to the 2815 looks identical to a MT300 differential. I know that some (all?) of the 15/16 series tractors had Mitsubishi engines, did Mitsubishi also make some of the other drivetrain components for these tractors?

I believe that Mitsubishi makes the whole tractor, sheet metal, plastic etc.

Thanks. I thought it had to more than coincidence. I am a big Mitsubishi fan, I've owned my current Mitsubishi tractor for 8 yrs/1300+ trouble free hours and it still runs like a top. I knew there was a reason the Mahindras rate so high in owner satisfaction...it's the Mitsubishi connection!

97% of Mahindra owners say they're satisfied with their tractor.
On a scale of 1-10 Mahindra ranks 9 or better in:
Durability
Reliability
Overall Perfomance
Overall Quality
Value for the Money
Easy to Operate
Easy to Maintain
Safety
Power
91% of Kubotoa owners who also own a Mahindra said they'd buy another Mahindra.
82% of John Deere owners who also owned a Mahindra said they'd buy another Mahindra.

Actually as good as my Mitsubishi built Mahindra 3215HST is, my Indian built Mahindra 7520 4X4 is by far a better built, better quality machine IMO. ;)
