Yesterday, we set a new record - 37C/98.6F, and with humidity factored, it hit 50C/122F!!

Man, that humidity was a killer. I can tolerate the heat, and I LOOOOOOOvE the cold, but Humidity is where i draw the line.

:)

Walked by the thermometer a few minutes ago and it was 100.6 with 25ish% humidity. Walked by a few minutes later and it was 100.8. Walk by a bit ago and it was 100.9 with the humidity at 30%.

Must be 105ish in the city.

Supposed to be like this Saturday and it was like this yesterday. Sick of it. Wednesday afternoon the AC broke. Thankfully it was just the capacitor, we could get a repair guy out here, and get the AC fixed by noon on Thursday. The guy showed up on time if you can believe it, knew what he was doing and the price was fair.

Waiting for October......

Later,
Dan

I feel bad you up North and I know this is not your normal, but when I have this 7 day forecast, I have trouble rustling up too much sympathy--and no it is not a dry heat--heat humidity index in Austin is at 107-113.

Give it 5 months or so when its so cold you want it to be hot.

Don't bother me. My tractors all have air and I have a large pool in the backyard.

In Southeast VA, measured in the shade on my back porch (faces east) - 101.5 with 52% humidity for a heat index of 125.

And I'm (on a break from being) outside working on the leaking AC in my pregnant wife's vehicle.

Keith, you might check the little plastic connectors on the freon lines. It is fast cheap method for connectors.

Man, all this hot weather makes the 75* high temp. weather here in Oregon seem not so bad. :D We are heading out to central Oregon tonight, maybe it will be warmer there. We havent been over 90*F here yet this year.

Had to take a trip to the big city (Pittsburgh) today and the car temp gage read 101. I imagine the actual temp was more like 93 or 95. Either way, I couldn't wait to get out of there. The humidity is way up too adding to the discomfort. :(

The car thermometer read 110 for the first 20 miles of the trip home from work. As my elevation increased it went below 100. It was 98 pulling into the driveway. I'm in Northern NJ

The temp peaked out at 103 in the shop today around 3pm. Changing one bad hydraulic hose this morning had me sweat-soaked to the point my work pants where wet on the outside - sat down in the office for a break / write up a job ticket and left a wet butt print when I got up -- and that was about about 10AM.....I pushed through 'till lunch and then started winding down - not much happened for the afternoon.....

It been running about 102-106 here with 35% humidity, lows 80+. I have always hated the hot summer time - there is just too much of it here. It one of those situations where if all my family and friends weren't here I wouldn't be either. There are obviously very nice things about living in Texas, but summer weather is not one of them.
