1000 SERIES FIRST SIGHTING?

It looks to me that they will be released very soon and that the dealer is trying to secure orders fom customers. The photos that they are using appear to be stock rep. photos. If they actually had one on the groud they would have taken a picture of the actual unit. Just my thinking. :anyone:

Yes, Deere did the press release on June 1st and is working on shipping them out to all the dealers whom ordered a unit. My Deere dealer will be getting a few units in a week or 2 and is as excited as I am to see how well Deere did on the new sub-compact. These are going to be some of the nicest sub-compacts on the market featuring drive over the deck MMM's, tilt steering wheel, fold-able ROPS, 2 new FELs, one which is basic and the other a mock up of a smaller 200CX which they call the H120. :)

That ad posted says the price is $13,900. Features says Mower and Loader. Does this mean that the entire package (tractor, loader, mower) is $13,900 ? That would make it cheaper than the 2305 tractor, loader, mower.

Sure seems that's what it means.

I think $13,900 or so would be for the 1023E, D120 loader and 54" deck??? Every dealer has their own pricing. The H120 and the 60" deck is what most people want.

I just looked at the info on TractorData.com that has the 1026r for $12,595 (MSRP) plus the attachments and the 1023E at $11,296 (MSRP) plus attachments.

The two John Deere dealers closest to me now have one of the 1026R's in stock. I talked to one this morning, and they will be mounting a loader on the one that came in yesterday today. I was going to get some pictures for everyone, but the battery in the camera that I keep in the car was dead. They seem to have everything one would need, I like the fender mounted lights though I don't think they would work with a Curtis style cab, and I like the attachment points for the loader hydraulics a little better than the larger ones. It is in the floorboard, fender rather than being below it as is usual for JD's. It somehow seems larger even than the 2305 is, but perhaps the hood is higher, and that is what makes it look that way. The seat is very comfortable to me. I'm still deciding how I feel about the looks....... it is more different than I thought it would be. Perhaps the body shape overpowers the tire size a bit more, or somethiing, but I sure wouldn't kick it out for eating crackers in bed as my Dad used to say. All in all, I think JD will do well with it as long as the "street price" remains doable. It is more money, but at least you can see things that you are getting to justify it a bit anyway. My thought is that it is starting to look too close to the 2320 in size, and price and it is large enough that I wonder if it will be any better at mowing than the 2320 is.

My dealer said he was getting a 1026r next week, and there is a two month wait on ordering one. They don't want to sell their only floor model right away. Too long a wait for me.

I recently started looking into buying a subcompact and have been searching for a few months now. Waiting on the dealer close to me to get 1 of these tractors on the floor. I'm itching to see one. Dealer says next week!! YeeeeeHaaaaw

Wow, strange, very close to what I paid for my 2210 package back in '04...

Local Deere Dealer has both a 1026R & a 1023E on the lot right now, looked them over pretty good the other day, but I am no rush to trade my 2305 in on one, especially with it only having 524hrs on it. Planning to keep the 2305 long term, but maybe down the road I will look at a 1026R.

Hope the folks that are buying these start posting soon!! I want to know how well they like Em before I order my first tractor

Probably taking pre-orders. Due to the tsunami over seas a lot Deere orders are delayed, but good to know some have made it over.

Some in but not enough. When they do come in there gone up my way!! Maybe by next spring they'll have a handle on production and shipping of it.

I've seen a few around here, but I don't know if the dealers are selling any yet, or not. The rumor is that some implements won't be available until fall, but I heard of at least one here that was bought with a mower deck.

Would be nice to know if the folks that have bought them currently are happy with them. I've only seen very limited chatter on the subject.

I am new to the site because I just took the plunge and bought a 1023E... Should get it in a couple days! Just imagine it with the 60" deck...

Congratulations!! Nice machine! and welcome to TBN. When is your dealer telling you the 60" deck will be ready?

/ 1000 SERIES FIRST SIGHTING? #20
They had the 60" deck (auto connect) there, I opted for the hydraulic lift kit which they were waiting to be shipped so they could install it. I got the dealer's first 1023E, and they had a 1026R with a "SOLD" sticker on it as well
