I understand the Mavericks got their name because Jim Garner was part of the original ownership group and he played Maverick on TV.

Mark Cuban is going to pay for the entire victory parade cost so the City of Dallas won't have to foot the bill. He's made a lot of money from this city, but at least he is not too tight to give something back. That's a classy move in my estimation. Also having Don Carter there to accept the trophy shows how much he cares about the team and its history. He's sure coming off as a stand-up guy in my estimation.:thumbsup:
