Okay ... so how many acres of dry land and how many bales to the acre?

It's a 10-acre place, 6 acres in hay (a hobby farm). With about 18" average rainfall during the rainy season (Nov thru May) and gravely patches in the hayfield, about 1/2 ton per acre is typical. So with 40-50 lb two-twine bales, about 20-25 bales per acre.

Great pics!!! Two questions for you, 1st- does pushing the bales on the ground do anything too the bales ( break strings, deform, etc..) 2nd question maybe comment- Did you think about putting grapple hooks on your accumulator so you could pick them up?:thumbsup:

No problem pushing them on the ground. Found out load the eight first and the two ends last!!

Yes I studied the one with the grapple/accumulator combo. The down side was you can not unload with that unit ... so I went with the seperate grapple to off load in the barn and that works great.

Cool I would like to try that....are their plans for a acculumator/grapple anywhere online?
