Good Mornin Guys,
OK so here it is a rainy tuesday mornin in the northeast, and yes Im still in my PJs, drinking coffee on the computer... :(

I guess you could say, at almost 60, Im finally relaxing a bit ! Im not sure I would call it retirement just yet, only because I plan on doing a day or two of "organized" work here and there, but I guess its about as good as it gets in my eyes ! :)

Anyone that has shown up for work 5 days a week or more for 40 years can appreciate the feeling ! ;)

Either wednesday nite or thursday mornin I will be headed up to my Vt property, to start running wires in my new barn, http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/projects/168736-my-barn-finally.html
and get that project back online... :)

Hopefully I can spend a bit more time on TBN talkin with all you "coffee mug totin retirees" in the future !!! :)

Also a short prayer, for all my southern friends affected by the severe flooding !

Have a good day !

Raining here in mid Maine too. Nothing to mow around here. It's all going to be haying - if it ever stops raining.

One question, trying to get a visual here -

"so here it is a rainy tuesday mornin in the northeast, and yes Im still in my PJs, drinking coffee on the computer..."

Are you actually sitting on the computer whilst you sip your coffee?
Or perhaps slurpping the spilt coffee off of the laptop?
Nevermind about the PJ's. TMI. :)

I've got 25 years of 5, 6, or 7 days a week under my belt now, and probably another 20 to go.
Enjoy your time any way you want to Scotty, you earned it.

Not even 60? You're to young to retire Scotty !

But if that's what you want, then I hope you enjoy it :)

I'm gonna look you up some time when I'm up your way in VT, picking up my roof slate. See if you're really as nice in person as you are here on TBN :D

PS. yeah, we have not had to many nice days this spring, not gonna see the sun this week, but I guess that can't compare to the nightmare going on in the Mississippi delta.

JB.

Before I ?retired? I worked a job that I never new from one day to the next if I'd be in or outsude for the day. If it was broke we fixed it no matter what the weather was. Now I lay there in bed when it's real bad outside and wounder if the men I left at work are haveing to be outside in it with rain and cold running down their neck. WOUNDER! No! not for long :) cause I drift back off to sleep, all snug and cozey in my stocking cap!

Good for you Scotty! You are giving retirees a bad name - posting at 8:55am that you are still in your PJ's

No rain here this am but gloomy and chilly as could be. Had a fire in the stove the last two evenings to take the damp chill away.

Good luck with your garage wiring.
Dave.

Scotty, all I have to say is CONGRATULATIONS! You'll figure out what to do with the rest of your time; you don't need advice from me. Besides, now that I'm retired, I don't have time to give advice.;)

Scotty, you out lasted me... I quit working at 52, good decision? Don't know yet, but it is nice to not have to be in the rat race anymore. 56 now and free to travel. Navy retirement and VA disability helps pay the bills and my much younger wife has a great job at the new hospital 2 miles away.

Congratulation on your retirement, Scottie  Don'y aorry about the too young crack, they are just jealous :D The hardest part of retirement is picking the correct pace, since you no longer have to spend so many hours at work.
