I will get some pics maybe this weekend. He just got it 5 days ago and we live 45 minutes apart.

Here is a pic of that Challenger. Not the best, took it awhile back with the phone in the hanger.

Pretty sweet, its and RT, HO(hemi orange) and has what they call the cat whisker stripes. Very nice! This is a picture of me next to my 70 Challenger that I restored and owned for about 15 years. This is me and my wife, you can tell its an old picture because I'm tall and skiny, now I'm short and fat.

Cool!

Interesting trivia: In "Vanishing Point", the car that "crashes" in to the bulldozers is a Camaro. The film crew found a Camaro with a blown motor. They tossed the motor, and loaded the engine compartment with movie explosives. They set the toe-in on the front end to its max adjustment, so it would follow the crown of the road. One of the three Challengers for the move was a 383/auto. They used it and a long tow cable that went between the dozer blades to pull the Camaro; it was easier to use the auto tranny car.

If you slow motion the movie just before the car hits the dozers, you can clearly see the distinctive Camaro tail lights and rear-end.

They remade vanishing point a few year ago. It starred Viggo Mortesson (sp?). Its a little less weird than the original movie, but some how the original movie is still better. Its really cool if you have a white Challenger and can get the plate V POINT.

Bet you wish you still had that one.

My dad kicks himself all the time. He had a Road Runner, Charger, GTO convertible,Mustangs, Camaro, 2 Vettes, El Camino with a 396, ect.

We sit around a watch Barret Jackson Auction and he says I had one just like that. I have never been a muscle car guy. Fastest thing I have owned is my 04 F-250 Powerstroke and a few Dirt Bikes.

I would love to have a Blue Challenger Hemi or any color new Mustang with that 5.0

I wish I would have kept two of the cars I have had. Foremost, is my old Roadrunner. It was a later one, actually the last "real" Roadrunner, a '74. small block auto that was not near as fast as the old ones, but I really like that body style.

After that, I wish had kept my Trans-Am. 10th anniversary edition, but had been painted black(anniversary editions were silver, silver interior). The only emblem on it was the Trans-Am emblem on the back.

Bet you wish you still had that one.

From what I have read, the original had a lot of stuff taken out, that really changed the whole movie. That, and just the year/climate it was made.

Picture of the Camaro at impact...

Actually I don't wish I had the 70 Challenger back, or the 70 Road Runner I had. They were very high maintance. It seemed like something always needed fixed on them.
