I've been reading the posts here and saw the free FEL offered for the EX3200 Cubs so I called a few dealers this morning. The closest to me quoted $16,299.00 so I called another for comparison and he said $18,900.00.

Hmm that's a big difference so I search TBN threads and find a post that mentions Smiths Tractor down in TN. I looked up their website and right on the first page is a 2011 EX3200 with FEL for $14,450.00. My first reaction is, I'm driving to TN!!! My second was, post a thread on TBN.

What's going on here? I get that some parts of the country are a more expensive to live in than others but that's a 15 to 25% premium to those of us who live up here in new England.

I'm really just kick'n tires but my question is this. Has anyone else priced or purchased an EX3200 lately? I would really like to get prices from other parts of the country to get an average. Seems I might already have my high and low but curiosity has got the best of me now.

Fruitguy, Yes, I just purchased a CCY EX3200 TLB. There seem to be many factors which affect the sale price. Due to annual "factory price increases", the dealers are forced to pass along the inflated prices to their customers. Purchasing a tractor is NOTHING like buy a car. As we are slowly recovering from our economic depression (I mean recession), sluggish consumer goods sales have been slowly gaining strength. Dealers should be willing to offer some discounted prices due to excess inventory right?

WE have some CCY units on our lot that have been billed at pricing much lower than current list. All have been transferred in from other dealers who purchased prior to recent price increases. The Free loader offer from Cub requires the dealer to reorder the tractor. This promotion will flush out the older inventory and replace with new inventory. Some dealers price based on what it will cost to replace the tractor on their lot, other based on what they have in the one they are selling. This alone can contribute to drastic price differences between dealers, then there is overhead, taxes, etc. The one website does not indicate that the prices shown include any promotions, so it might be they don't have the price posted that would include the free loader... this way they can use either the free loader or the zero percent interest rate.

Yes, seems like a price swing depending on where you are in the country. I know quite a few Cub dealers and there's a few dealers out there that will sell close to cost to get sales. You can ask your local dealer to price match the better deal, some will and some won't. Or, take a trip to save some $$$$!

I've dealt with Smith tractors, great bunch of folks to deal with. They've got quite a few good deals right now.

Good luck!

I just got mine for $13,900 with the FEL allowance, loaded tires and a grill guard (paying cash). That was a heck of a deal. But, like bluechip said, the dealer will have to order a new tractor. But, it didn't bother him because he will sell it. They seemed to be a good seller for him. That was 3K lower than the comparable Kubota unit.

My CCY dealer had a pair of EX3200 packages on his lot last weekend - an EX3200 with FEL and brush hog (I forget the make/model; it was 5' I think) on a nice double-axle trailer... all for $18,000 and change. Seemed like a pretty good deal to me!

GraniteState, Congratulations on your new CCY EX3200 tractor purchase. What production year is stamped on the metal tag affixed to your engine? Does it say 2010 or some other year. I just purchased my new CCY EX3200 TLB last month with two hours on the meter. The production year is 2008. I realize that new is new, regardless of the year the tractor was manufactured, however, it may make a difference to the next prospective buyer when you go to sell (in ten or twenty years)! The $13,900. price is great, especially since you saved over $1000.00 in state sales tax. Also, what did the dealer load the tires with (Calcium)?

Randalkurt, we have identical tractors right down to the year on the engine and hours on the clock. I suspect that they might have had lots of engines hanging around. The serial number would be the real indicator on the time of assembly, but where do you get that info? As for the tires, it was not calcium. It was some other less corrosive solution that is more environmentally friendly. I cannot remember the name, so I'll find out. As for the no sales tax--I love NH!! Thanks and good luck to you and your new EX!
