Wow!

Nice job.

"every wedding is Royal" - Was that the Archbishop? Nice

Crowd Control - spelled organization, lets move 20k people a mile or two!

Crowd - very respectful, some people can take notes

Pagentry - fly-overs, horse and "buggies", wonderfull architectures, colors! What more could one ask for?

Amazing, glad I watched it. Very nice job. Well done.

Yes, Roy there was a wedding of sorts but I missed it too. I had some paint drying and some grass growing and couldn't take my eyes off of it!

I think it was neat. I don't understand the royal thing much but I'm not English either. I liked the car they rode in: 50's Rolls Royce, the carriage too. You are right about the crowd, organized and under control as much as I saw. It's interesting it is so popular with people in the states( I know not a lot of tractor guys are into it).

I am not much into it but I am into things others aren't so I figure, to each, his own.

Now, now fella's, family forum.

I was working and had the TV going. It was a very positive thing. I think we all can agree there were/are enough bad things happening.

So I tend to focus on the positive. And it was nice.

i like how i heard one person describe it: it would be like the folks in the U.S. celebrating the marriage of Al Capones great great grandchild: just look at the "royalities ancestory" an see how they got what they have! doesn't give much cause to celebrate the offsprings weddings: even though the ones that are there now seem like pretty good folks, they sure came by what they have by horrible actions: i personally think they should have to give it up to the ancestors of those that were harmed an stolen from, including the entire population. they did say on one channel, that 80% of the people in the UK, wanted to keep the Monarchy??? i spent 3 years over there in the late 60's an i doubt that statistic.

Being born, bred and until 3 yrs ago living in the UK - definately it is the majority which still respect and value opur monarchy - whether or not it is 80%, I don't know...

What it interesting is that since Prince William has "grown up" - there's actually more Royalists in the UK than there were 10 years ago, and I'm guessing that figure will grow following todays specticle.

Another interesting statistic - 83% of Americans visiting the UK on holiday buy some type of "royal" sovineer (mug / plate / tea towel etc...)

I caught the wedding highlights this morning on MSN after the fact. It sounds like the "royal couple" has some tact and some taste. I hope they stick it out and can be a good example to the world. I can understand why a country would want to keep it's monarchy. It would lend a sense of identity and consistency.

Yeah, they got rid of it on the outside - but never on the inside.

Americans made Diana's death bigger issue than any other nation in the world - how about that?

The wedding was a bit like a chick flick. It's something a guy can tolerate if it makes his better half happy. Weddings anywhere are a huge attraction to women. It's harmless fun and by letting my wife watch without complaining, she found she tired of it after about 1/2 hour and we changed the channel to something else.

I was tempted not to comment on this thread, BUT,

Let's imagine lf Obama and Michelle had decided to tie the knot here. Do you think THEIR wedding would have been given so much coverage, hype, and hoopla by the media, and the subject of discussions such as this one here? Don't get me wrong, I am happy for the newlyweds Kate and William, but they are probably viewed with ADMIRATION by most citizens.

Cannot say the same about OUR president, can we?
