Bobcat = Rounder ??

Was wondering if any of you ever had or used 1?? I was told that it was made in Montana and Bobcat bought the design & patents. ??

In the 70's I bought a "Rounder" skid steer. local rental yard was upgrading to new. It was a real work horse for a really small machine. The FEL would pull the machine onto it nose if over loaded. Had a back hoe and post hole digger for attachments. One thing that was a lot of "fun" was backing it off the tilt trailer. When the trailer tilted the front wheels would lift about a foot before it settled down.

Built a 14' tall water tower for a 3.000 gallon tank. Supports were 16" power poles sunk 5' into the ground. Used that little guy to pick up and set the poles. 1 Real heavy pole had me up on 1 wheel before it settled in. It was also out scaffold for building the top platform. Just east of Bowie AZ and about 4 miles due south that tank and tower looks like a rocket ship about to launch.

My brother in law used it for another 4 years or so for demolition and construction.

Didn't mean to mislead you folks. Did not raise the tank with the "Rounder". Had to have a boom truck pick it up and set it for us.

I have forgot the math, but if memory is correct 14' of down fall = about 45 Psi at the bottom.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 14' of fall is more like 5.8PSI at the bottom.

Any pics of the project though?

Looks like you are correct on the pressure "the pressure exerted by ten meters depth of water is approximately equal to one atmosphere. Americans learn that 34 feet of fresh water or 33 feet of sea water equals one atm."

But it did work, had plenty of pressure in the house and out side.

X wife kept or destroyed all the pictures that I had. Hope my sister in town has some that they may have taken.

That property is long gone. Have a good story about one buyer not paying & stealing my 4 cylinder generator. Will post another thread on that.
