I figure I dug out and moved about 120 yards of chert rock yesterday.

So what's my point? That my L4400 is awesome, that's all.

Oh no, you got it dirty! :D Looks like it's doing the job well. How is the rollback issue you posted about?

Looks good. I assume you have a tooth bar and/or box blade? Any more pics during the process?

Thats what I'm talking about! Nice to see what the L4400 is cabable of. I haven't got into anything like that with my new L4400 yet. I have the dealer coming out this weak to check my loader out. My curl is weak in my opinion.

You using a box blade in conjuction with the FEL on this project?

Thanks guys. Here is little update.

Took the hill back a little bit more, but mostly just compacted, leveled, and dug a french drain with the FEL.

I have a tooth bar on the loader that I used mostly to tear up the chert. Once I got it pretty level I boxed it some too. But it was mostly done with the loader.

The road goes to the barn.

You can see the tractor in the second photo, but at this point I have removed the tooth bar and box blade for digging the french drain.

My bucket doesn't curl upside down like that on my L4400. What loader do you have? I have the LA703A. My bucket just goes to a 90 degree

Compacting? I have been filling up the FEL and tire rolling with a lot of success. Not the quickest, but effective.
