OUCH!!! that doesnt help any with the mower deck on and boxblade still attached working like an anchor!! No FEL attached either for crabbing-:(:(

Were you able to get out yet ?

Now that thing is stuck.

Oopps, really anchored there now, time for a truck pull or the old come-along. Can you raise the blade or is it up?

Pick it up with a FEL or crane. You may damage the deck if you pull it out.

Took putting my f250 in 4 wheel drive on solid ground to get it out

At least you own something larger than it to pull it out!

looks like half of the insurance claims I pay (they usually require more than a F250)! :D

I knew working down by the mud with turf tires I was going to most likely stick it
and I did
no big deal just a little mud

From the looks of that, you would have gotten stuck no matter what kind of tires you had. We had buried a tractor or two with Ag's.

I agree any kind of tires and I think you would have been stuck.

Now that you have figured out how to get stuck are you going back for more???

I am a master at getting stuck. Around here there is 3 to 5' of silt. After a rain it is easy to bury my 4 WD TC45, yep all 4 of them. Most of the time I can pull it out with the FEL or the back hoe.

One time working at a well, it took the old Dodge 500 and my 4WD hooked together to pull it out. My big girl (dog) who loves water also got stuck and it took 2 of us to pull her out.

Isn't life great when your having fun!!

Many/most "lakes" are little more than a horizontal bulge in a river.
i.e. there is inlet and there is outlet, or it would be a stagnant pond.
Not HARD to figure out where it comes and goes, just look at what grows where (-:

So anyway I am making a boat ramp there to get my bass boat in. It does not need to be paved as my truck can pull the boat out just fine if I can get the angle right so the trailer does not drag when the trailer wheels drop over the edge into the water.
So I am thinking of renting a mini excavator.
How easy are they to stick (yea I know you can stick anything even a tank)
If I ease it out in the water to clear some weeds and mud how deep can the thing safely run in the water? I assume top of the tracks?

A friend of ours volunteered to put in a boat ramp in our 8 acre pond with his Gehl skid steer and it worked out pretty well. He put crushed rock down as far as he could reach and I later took one of our tractors up and put rock down a bit further.

My father in law put in an access with a FEL coming from the bank and getting the grade right then we broke the dam with a back hoe and touched it up.

Around here if someone saw you running an excavator in a body of water without the appropriate permits from DES/EPA/wetlands protection/PETA or whoever you'd likely be in a heap of trouble quickly. Proceed carefully.

Matt.

Thanks for posting the photo!

I'd keep that baby away from mud. With ags, diff lock and a loader you can crawl out of almost anywhere. Rather limited options with turfs and MMM deck on.
