whatever you do I would not get the mid mower on the CT225 if you have any hills at all it will feel VERY underpowered. As for the cost difference I beg to differ between mid and rear finish mower, yeah a king kutter is cheaper but the higher end rear mowers are not that much less than the mid but will also agree that get the mid on and off regularly will get old real fast speaking form experience

Can you define underpowered? I can't imagine a 27hp tractor underpowered due to the presence of a mmm.
