Any difference in 2010 and 2011 L3240

I'm looking real hard at buying a l3240 HST and was wondering if there are differences in the 2010 and 2011. I have a dealer that has made me a really good price on a 2010. I would hate to buy it and the 2011 have a couple of new features or improvements that I would like. The dealer tells me they are the same. Any info would be appreciated.

Two things...
1. Tractors generally do not change year to year.
2. Your getting a good price, so any minor change will easily be affordable as a later purchase by you if you really find anything you want. KennyV

+1 to what Kenny said. If you have a good deal, go for it. Tractors aren't like cars with the model year thing.

I bought a L3540 HST in 2008. Last year (2010) I went to the dealer looking for something else than a tractor and I picked up the new brochure concerning my model.

The one thing I noticed that changed from 2008 to 2010, is that the driver seat is mounted swivel so it can turn slightly from one side to the other making back sight easyer.

I'd realy like to have that seat, it would reduce neck and back bain. But has the other said it's essentially the same tractor over the years and I am very pleased with mine.

2 1/2 years ago I purchased a L3540. At he time the HST-2 were out which meant absolutely nothing whatsoever mechanically, only some control placement differences, seat and cosmetic changes. Some dealers wanted as much as 1200.00 for the "change" in model, others were at around 500.00. I went with the older but new tractor and saved the money. If I had to do it all over again I would do the same. Even if it means going from a -2 to a -3 take the savings IMO. Not enough difference to warrant more than 3 to 4 hundred dollars IMO.

I'm not sure the model year matters, but rather the series, as in -1, -2 or -3.

The Grand L -3's differences that I know of are:

1) Swivel seat, as has been mentioned. The small swivel angle might not seem like much, but I've found it does help when you're turned around for a while, like when using a 3PH auger.
2) The PTO engagement is a knob you turn for on & push for off, rather than a lever. Some like the knob (me), but some seem to be against, saying it's hard to turn on with gloves on. I've had no problems with it & like being able to simply tap the knob to turn the PTO off.
3) Chrome stripe added to the horizontal hood stripe. Possibly different font?
