dk45 cab has ipod cable?

i had a cold, rainy day do i decided to open a few compartments on my kioti cab tractor to see where i can add a switch for a led rotating beacon.

there is a nice area near the wiper switches that has 4 additional blank inserts so i can add a switch for beacon.

upon opening the cover, i found an Ipod interconnect cable in there.

i guess it is prewired for this to the cab radio.

when the wife comes home, im going to hook her ipod up and see if it works. will be cool if it doesthen again..that might mean ill need to buy an ipod.

Tell her it's a safety issue. The Inclinometer App makes a dandy tilt-o-meter

Take it to the next level. An Ipad mounted over the dash with a rear camera connected to it. You can monitor TractorByNet or switch to the rear view when needed.

yup...the wife plugged her ipod into the cable, and the radio took over control of the ipod. it worked perfect :laughing: :laughing:

of course, nothing in the instructions tell of this cable or its location...strange

Now that you've gotten me curious, how do you open the cover?

i simply pried up the lower middle with a fine blade screwdriver...gentle like, then it sorta bent in the middle and the right side pulled out, then the left. pretty easily actually.

Thanks for that info and pictures. I was trying to get the entire module to pop off. Kind of makes me want to pop all the covers off to see what lies beneath. :thumbsup:

I just happen to have an Iphone 4 that will connect right up to that.

my wifes ipod plugged right into it, and it started to play thru the speakers. mighty nice of Kioti to install this cable... to bad they didnt tell anyone about it.

i popped up the other cover, the one with 4 switches and 2 spares. there are 2 extra wire cables for something....not sure what, will have to study my service book closer
