I made a tank to hold diesel out of 20'' sch.10 stainless steel pipe,and bought a fill-rite hand crank pump. I can pump 5 gallons in less than a minute. The tank holds 50 gallons. You could use any type of drum,eliminates the gas cans.

Either someone was quite generous giving you that expensive chunk of stainless steel pipe, or you have plenty of play money stashed away somewhere.

It was a left over cut piece from a job that I was on, my boss let me have it, instead of scraping it.
