GC owners check your lower coolant hoses!

I guess it must mean all CG 2400 and 2600 machines.

I would guess they mean from the first model, to the tractor listed.

In other words, any made before the one they list.

Posted pic's of my hose after I tied it back, a bit hard to see but there is a spot where the lever was rubbing on the hose. The hardest part of the project was getting the picture . Called dealer today they said they would order up an new hose. He also said the new hose was redesigned.

I think even if your serial number is not listed, it should be checked anyway. Looks like it is alot more widespread that Massey realizes.

Wonder what the new hose number is? My dealer only found the same # I have in my parts book. Maybe superseded?

Well, just received my new hose and it is the same # as the parts manual states, 4264879M1. No change in the design, it looks the same to me. I will be changing tomorrow and see for sure.

My GC2400 has the same problem with the lower radiator hose. Mine is rubbed through to the cords inside the hose.

I called my dealer, and he was unaware of the campaign on the hoses(Massey hasn't contacted him).

He is going to get a hose for mine and fix it right away, and he said he is going to contact Massey and let them know that the JTC models are affected also.

I also directed my dealer to this thread. He read your info while we were on the phone, Wacky.

Glad I could be of help. This is unfortunate, could develop into a very serious issue for owners who have no idea, like us. Engine damage is something I would think MF would like to not have any issues with.:confused3: IMHO this is more of a recall importance than the bracket for the steering cylinder!

Wacky, did you get your hose changed? Was there a difference in them?

My "JUC" Ser# is affected as well, wearing through at two points actually.
