I just bought a used 2040 Turbo never owned one gonna give it to my son i think .Does anyone on one and how good a saw are they?

Incase you didn't know, the saw is manufactured by electrolux, which is the paret company of husqvarna.
Basically it is the exact same saw as the husqvarna 141.
40.2cc and 2.6HP and 10.1 lbs
It's not really considered a "pro" saw, but I dont think any saw under 40cc are except top-handle models. So basically, it is a good limbing saw. At least as good as any other "under 40cc saws". But I personally wouldn't want a saw that small as my only saw IF I was serious about cutting firewood. But for general homeowner upkeep and limbing, it is just fine. It is probabally a notch above the poulans and craftsmans.
If you ever need parts, double ceck, but most of the parts will interchange with the husky 141. And you can google the 141 for more reviews and info.

Well i agree it is small i own two Partner 5000 plus saws my self. But i could'nt pass it up the guy's farther passed away and he was selling stuff just to get rid of it ,he said make me a offer i said well lets see if it will run he had the wrong size chain on it he got at a box store.I could tell he really new nothing about such things. I gave her a pull and the recoil would not rewind. Just needed lubed i figured .I looked at him and he looked at me, him wearing slippers and it being 25 degrees and the wind blowing i waited.He said how does $50.00 sound i said $ 20.00 sounded better and he was tickled pink so was i .Came home broke it down cleaned it up lubed the recoil and it runs great.I say $20.00 well spent i also bought a 2 year old Porter Cable pancake compressor for $60.00 the real reason i went there in the first place.

$20 is a great deal for ANY saw that runs. Doesnt matter the brand or condition.

Yea i know it the boy dont have one so i will most likely give it to him.The worst of the whole deal is as i was leaving i said do you have anything else to sell.He said only dads lathe....and if you wanna haul it off you can have it. It is is a shed that has 3 feet of snow for 50 yards in front of it.He said it's big and its in the back of the shed probobly need a boom truck to get it out. Can you imagine that a free lathe?
