Need an 70 HP PTO tractor w/loader...

Our 5610s was recently involved in a fire and we are looking to find a replacement and potentially rebuild the 5610s over time. We would like something that is at least as reliable and heavy as that tractor was around a $16k budget.

Obviously JD is always a good bet but for 70HP at the PTO and under 2k hours, it's hard to find something in the budget. So, for the rest, what's a good place to start? Are NH, MF, Kubota all about the same in regards to reliability? Any others we should be considering?

So, is Kubota a pretty reliable tractor? Are they all roughly about the same? Is Deere worth the premium?

I look at the John Deere and Kubota as well as the other top brands to be comparable in quality. In many of the comparable models John Deere will cost about the same as Kubota. If there is a price differential, I am willing to pay it to get the one I want. YMMV

when your pricing JD an kubota youll always find the JD a higher priced tractor by $6000 to $8000.that was the case when i was pricing them.plus JD does not have a tractor with same HP or HST that can do what my kubota can.

I have found the prices to be very competitive across the major manufacturers. If looking for used try to find the best tractor and best deal for your needs. Compare these to new models to decide which is best for you. You may find yu are better off getting a new machine.
