Wanting to replace my rusted out 5' shredder, and have been thinking about trying a six footer. For help on the front, the 33 is MFWD and has an almost never removed fel. Hydrostat, with unfilled industrial tires for what it's worth. Narrowed choices to the Woods Brush Bull, the galvanized Modern, and the Rhino. Living in sw Lousy-anna, elevation is a couple of small ditch levees, and fire ant mounds.

Any comments/advise appreciated, thanks in advance.

Merry Christmas, and bon fete, Jesus.

Six foot brush hog should do the job faster. If you need to have agility and ability to get between trees etc,a five foot hog may serve you better. I would not buy a 6ft hog just to get more weight on the rears. What is the actual width of your TC33DA?

I have a 5' Woods for my TC25D and it works out fine. My 5' FEL is never removed. The 25D, and therefore your 33, could handle a 6' but I didn't want the mower to be wider than the tractor so I know if the tractor can get through an opening, so can the mower.

Thanks for the comeback. I shred approx 8 acres, not to many trees, maybe less than ten, and most times, we do trimming with the rider. We do have a long line of some sort of hedges along a fence line that just let the 5 ft shredder pass. The 6 ft probably wouldn't fit there, and a couple of other places, so maybe the time saved with a 6 ft would be lost on the riding mower.
Not quite following your statement about buying the 6 ft. just for the added weight; my main concern is actually the opposite, with the quick hitch, AND a 6 ft shredder, will I have problems keeping the front tires on the ground? With the fel attached, prolly not, but without the fel?
As to the width, I forgot to measure, but the rear tires are about the same width as my 5 ft box blade, thus another concern about the 6 ft not being able to go where the tractor goes.

Thanks to you also MikePA;
The more I think about it, the more I see a 5 ft shredder in my future........
