Ok, i just broke 50 hours (my first 50 on any tractor) on my GC2400 and I am concerned about the forward speed. In high range, full throttle, pedal fully depressed and it barely gets out of its own way. I think you could keep up with a brisk walk along side it. On the other hand it seems to haul butt in reverse. The manuals says 9.1 mph top speed, i haven't clocked it but it isn't going that fast. I adjusted the stop nut on the pedal linkage but that didn't help.

I have 5 acres and it is a long skinny plot. Getting from one end to the other takes forever. Any thoughts?

I have a GC2400 and you would have to be a fast runner to keep up with it in high range so you have some type of problem. I'm not sure what it would be though.

Check the trans fluid level?

If you only have 50 hrs on it I'd be taking it into the dealer for warrenty work if thats what Its doing. While at your dealer take one on the lot for a test drive to see if it does what yours does.IMO Larry

I only used high range once, goes so fast that I thought it was going to throw me off due to my bumpy yard.

Update. There was a factory linkage issue. It was fixed and it made a huge difference. I spent my first 50 hours at half speed it seems. Maybe this was a blessing, even at half speed I tipped her once and had my butt puckered about ten times.

Glad you got it fixed and there were not major problems. Now buckel up and hold on.

Another proud moment in dealer prep history.

Very sad that this was delivered that far out of adjustment.

I though missing the grease fittings over, and over, before delivery was bad.

Now that I have gotten over the thrill of new found speed I am a little pissed about the dealer prep. My dealer has been GREAT but this tractor was picked up at another dealer by my dealer. Maybe they thought it was ready to go and didn't double check.

Unfortunately, issues with dealer prep have been on going.

I am convinced many of those who are happy with their prep, are just not aware of what was missed.

Newbies can blissfully use it with missed grease fittings, low oil levels, improperly secured, or routed hoses, etc., for some time.

Since these tractors are mostly sold to tractor virgins, it is especially important that they are prepped properly. Instead, the opposite seems to happen.

This is why I suggest everyone learn to do their own maintenance. At least then, there are no excuses.

Ecellent advice.
Mine came with a hairpin missing on the 3pt. I caught it before I lost anything.
The only other problem I had.......was after they installed the FEL, the fittings on the valve leaked like crazy. They sent someone up to fix it(within an hour of my call), but I had to fix it the next day........it still leaked.

That sounds familiar.
