Busted BB Scarifirer tooth

I broke one of the teeth on my BB this weekend. It looks like the teeth are crimped/punched on.

Where can I get a replacement tooth?

What tool do I use to get the old tooth off?

How do I crimp on the new tooth?

Its a BB2072 from frontier. Any information is appreciated.

May be a call to Frontier's customer service may help. Typically, the teeth are welded on and you have to grind the weld to get the old off and weld the new on.

They are very cheap at AgriSupply.com. I have bought dozens of them
and the whole ripper shanks, too. All of them I have seen have crimped
on teeth, but I weld them on. You should only weld part of the 2 sides,
not the whole circumference, however.

If you do not weld, take the shank out, and whack the sides of the new
tooth with a big hammer and thick steel rod against he pavement, a rock,
or an anvil.

Getting the old tooth off is the hardest part, whether crimped or welded.
The best approach is usually an angle grinder and hammer/chisel.

I have an air chisel/hammer. Do you just put the shank in a vice and hammer down on the back side of the tooth? once I get the replacement tooth how do I put it back on without welding?

An air chisel is useful for the removal. You can leave them on the BB
to hold them while using the chisel. If it is not working, cut the back
of the tooth, near the crimp with the angle grinder first, then peal
it back with the chisel.

To crimp them on, have someone hold the shank for you against your
vise's anvil, against one of the 2 crimp locations. Hit the other location
with your hammer and a drift or steel dowell. Flip and repeat.
