I got my new PTO shaft installed on my not new posthole digger. It doesn't dig worth #&^*. I'm sure it's because the teeth are worn almost completely off.

I looked online a few places (ebay, northern tool, etc.), and I don't see anywhere that will sell the teeth separately. Any ideas?

I was thinking about just cutting a few new teeth out of a section of snow plow blade that I have lying around. I'd like to know how much the teeth cost, though. If I can buy them for $20 or so it's not worth the time and effort to cut the new ones.

How are the cutting edges mounted? bolts, rivets, welded??

A search on post hole auger bits came up with some possibilities.

Here is but one page showing bit parts.

How are the cutting edges mounted? bolts, rivets, welded??

A search on post hole auger bits came up with some possibilities.

Here is but one page showing bit parts.

The teeth are held on with bolts.

I found a few sites with a parts breakdown, but none where I could actually order the teeth.

i make mine from sections of old leaf spring, work well and wear good, and never break one! and cheap too! just cut to shape with torch and your good to go, all my augers have come from the scrap bin at the dump, they have been bent to the point of unusable, and a little time in the shop press had them back to straight!

I made my own, Kubota wanted $150 for two teeth... unbelievable.

Thanks for all the replies. I was in our little farm store this morning getting some other stuff. While I was there I asked about the digger teeth. They had them for 9.99 each. The bolt holes don't line up, but I know how to fix that.
