wombat,
thats a Speedex garden tractor.I think its an early 60's model.
I dont use it much.....just a conversation piece.Crude machine,but it works.:D
They were made in Ohio....i think till the late 60's-early 70's in one form or another.

Sorry to hijack the thread. I'll butt out now.

Here is the gibson I was thinking of. Made in Colorado. Talk about primitive.

Carl,
More weight is not always better.........right now my Ex-wife comes to mind.:D
I 2nd that:D I added 1200lbs to my b26 in foam tires, yes its a little slower going down the road in H but I wouldn't trade it for anything. The little thing is like a swiss army knife never the perfect tool but always gets the job done.

Congrads on the new tractor have fun don't for get to call the locates in before you dig.

Bobcat is purchased from Kioti, and assembled in the US and painted white.
The Bobcat is completely made and mostly assembled in S.Korea.
When it comes here it gets the tires installed and the ROPS put on (which comes in the crate from Korea).
The other bits, loader, BH etc are installed in the states.

hey Y'all
I'm new here but I'm not new to the B 26

Ibought mine in 2008 when I traded my B 21
The dealer gave me 11k for my 21 and I spent 33.5 on my new one. I got a 4-in-1 bucket(no real landscaper would be caught without one)a quick attach bucket on my backhoe(12in and 18in) and I kept the standard bucket.
I do landscaping, swiming pool construction and trash and debris removal.
I've used this tractor on all of these jobs. I also have numerous attachments like a 5 ft bush hog, tiller, boxblade, auger, rake, grapple bucket.
the thing I like about this tractor is how tough it is and how easy to use and operate it is. I need very little manpower with this tractor and I can get in to jobsites bigger equipment can't.(I use my takeuchi 140 when I need bigger)
I can easily pull it behind my 250 if I need to but it will load my 750 with no problems. I can work circles around any skid steer doing landscaping altho I can't lift as much weight.
I would suggest to anybody in landscaping thats thinking about a piece of equipment to put this one at the top of the list

And, I don't think anyone has anything quite like the CK's and CTs...at least not for similar cost. .

I think the L3700SU was brought out for just that purpose. And Kubota is selling quite a few of these no frills tractors. They sold me one.

I love the Bobcat standard features, but my concerns are that Bobcat has a long track record of starting to sell a product, find out there is not enough profit
and dump it. The company that furnishes the parts have a long track record, and Kioti (Daedong) outwardly seem like a killer deal, but I've had Kubs for 30 yrs.and service more than required but have never had to repair a tractor in my usual 7 yrs. between purchases, and have sold them for over half of original price. I thought about Bobcat, but their support situation sucks in this area. Only specific dealers can service them, NOT ALL BOBCAT DEALERS.
Happy hunting.

Kioti tractors are junk my local bobcat dealer the owner told me they could not stand them but were forced to sell them. Bobcat started a giveaway program on these big tractors to flood the market with them. There were big compacts available with loaders for 8 to 11 k new how else was this possible. They have very bad pumps and are in the shop for blown hydrolic pumps all the time, they all break loader bolts regularly and the steel on the loader needs the cross brace reinforced or they pull apart. I hade a buddie purchase one and it has been in the shop non stop he was given a new / demo from the dealer and he has had the loaner more then his new one. Bobcat dealers hate these tractors and they have been forced to give them away. Don't buy one there junk you will regret it. When he got the loaner it had 7 hours on it- now it has over 50 hours on from my buddie working it well they keep fixing his. He is very frustrated with his tractor and the dealer. The dealer sells, bobcat and Kubota and they don't want to sell the bobcat tractor at all they prefer selling the kubotas.

 That is so WRONG it's literally making me laugh out loud! Although I am not surprised by this response from someone who can't spell "buddy" or "hydraulic" or even "had"...

If it is bad, why does the loaner work so well? I hade a buddie one tyme two.

My only response is: there are bad ones in every bunch- look at any car manufacturer. Also what is the loaner?

/ Kubota vs Bobcat/Kioti #54
Derek I was posting a quick response your rite I spelled a few things poorly in my haste..lol. I just saw your post now but the story on the Kioti tractors is not wrong. I wish you luck with yours let us know how you make out with yours as you log on the hours.
The owner of a the biggest bobcat dealer in Southwestern Ontario told me in person what I tell you. BobCat dealers hate selling those things and you get what you pay for. The koreans have tried to copy and reproduce just about everything and they never match the quality of the product they are trying to replicate. I don't know why Bobcat is dealing with them.

Conversely, possessing excellent spelling and grammar skills does not preclude one from being an idiot.

At least DiezNuts has a Kubota 3030, would have been my second choice but I am very happy with my 7510 killer little machine and just ordered a JD3720 HI Spec Deluxe cab on monday.

Wow, 9 whole post and all dedicated to only trying to put down another brand and even brought back and thread a year old.You are the definition of an Internet Troll, go ahead and Google that. You can Google Kubota problems while your at it.
By the way, my Kioti is pushing 500 hours and still not a single problem. Plus a large Bobcat dealer (Wallace Tractor) right on this forum seems to be doing pretty well with them.
Funny, it's always the Kubota owners that try to put down the other brands. Jealousy...?

Not me!!

If I had the money, I'd have one of each color, and two in orange!

All the brands seem to be pretty good and servicable... Pick your dealer more than your brand, and you'll end up happy ..

I am not putting down any brands I am just telling you what I was told from a Bobcat dealer at the same time when they were working on several of them in there shop. If you have had no trouble with your main pump and no oil in your fuel then your in good shape.
You got a really really great deal on that machine rite Bobcat almost gave it to you..think about it.
You took offence to my comments on Kioti tractors - that does not make me an internet troll. I also did not insult you personally at all however you showed your a real class act in your jabs at me. (thats ok I can admit I made some spelling errors)
Brought back a thread a year latter? I came here to become active as I have just ordered my second compact tractor and wanted to find out the good and the bad about the JD3720 when I checked old posts and saw your wisecracks! Now is your chance to give me all the bad stuff on the JD3720..LOL.

Speaking of over-generalized "put downs"...
