couldnt you ust request to have the standard ROPS removed and folding ones from the larger 2x20 series put on?

Unfortunately that is not a factory available option here in the US.

i think someone should inform Deere on this issue. I have seen a few threads where either people have jimmy rigged their ROPS or have completely removed them for clearance.

Well, you do-just not from JD. Femco makes one to fit the 2210/2305 tractors.
