Buying Advice Kubota B9200

I'm new to the tractor world and have a chance to buy a1990 B9200 with a Bradco backhoe for $10,800. It has 4 wheel drive power steering and a BF300 front loader 947 hours. Looks brand new. 23hp 4cyl Kubota v1200 diesel. PTO rear and mid mount, hydrostatic transmission
is this a good deal?

Have you visit your local Kubota dealer check out same hp w/fel & bh pricing,maybe be tad cheaper in the long run purchasing new.

Will the owner let you take for spin..try out fel & bh,check for leaks etc.

Also a little info. on that Bota.Make note how it said early prod. years "could" suffer from timing chain problems.

Are you sure it is a BF300 loader, I'm pretty sure that should have a BF350 loader on it. One of my favorite B-series tractors. The 4-cyl engine is so smooth. It sounds like a good deal to me.

There is no timing chain on that engine, but yes they did have a problem with the timing gears. I only ever saw one engine that had to be repaired myself.
