Some items missing from list:
- 1st aid kit (you just never know...)
- plastic or disposable table cloths?
- condiments (sugar and no-cal sweeteners, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, steak sauce, etc as needed)
- pickles?
- lemons?
- bottled water
- corn skewers? (dollar stores have these pretty cheaply)
- toothpicks, gotta have 'em
- large rectangular disposable aluminum pans (you'll find tons of use for these)
- HD aluminum foil
- clear plastic cling-wrap
- gallon size Ziploc bags
-
food covers like these or similar
- cutting board?
- tape (masking tape to tape tablecloths on the tables at the corners...of course duct tape will also work)
I'll probably think of more.
Edit: I bought one of
these before my July 4th cookout. It was a big hit with adults and kids. You can also go to Walmart or the Dollar Store and buy cheap foam toys like footballs and such that will entertain kids for hours and not break the bank. We have a big box of these that we break out for the kids.
If you have an open area, kites are also very popular.
