kubota b7500
I bought my Kubota b7500 7 yrs ago. I use it for mowing only. it has 450 hours on it. The clutch came apart at 200 hours, my local dealer fixed it at no cost to me. they said they had not had any problems with that before. after 150 hours it come apart again. its out of warrenty , but they fix it again for nothing , but the kubota rep said that there has been a few cases where a housing is not exactly right, so they get me a new housing and replace all again. well it's been another 150 hours and here we go again. Clutch comes apart again, my dealer will not cover the repairs again (they have been great working with), but thjis has got to be a fault in the tractor, for this to continue to happen. I need advice about what to do. I love this tractor except for the clutch issue. KUBOTA should replace this tractor, it has been garage kept, serviced, and worked on by kubota techs. How do I get kubota to cover this? I am so bummed out about all this. Help please.

I guess we need more information if we are going to suggest things that might help. What do you mean by "come apart"? In any case I doubt you will get too far getting Kubota to replace the tractor since the clutch is considered a normal wear item.

well, i am not very technical. but the last time that it did this, the tech at the kubota shop said that some rivets sheared off and the clutch came apart(i think). (i am trying to remember exactly what he said but that was 1 1/2 years ago, and it is a little fuzzy). It is at the shop now and they have not tore into it yet, but after going thru this 2 other times, it is definately the same issue. I believe I have got a tractor that has this issue, and the only answer is to just get rid of it at a huge loss.

After the second time I would have been quizzing you on how you use the machine, and I would have been at your place watching you use it. Rarely have I seen a clutch issue that was not operator created. You should be thankful you had a good dealer, many would not have replaced it either time. If you are shearing the rivets, you are shock loading the clutch. It would be hard for me to believe it was an alignment issue, without seeing the parts. Is this a gear drive or HST? What implements are you using, MMM, a Bushhog type rear mower, rototiller, blade, box scraper? What type of terrain? Are you the only one using the machine or are there other operators?

Especially after 7 years! Warranties generally cover defects in materials and workmanship, excluding wear items, for a set period...and 7 years is way out there. Even if it is a fault (OP's term) in the tractor at 7 years asking for replacment...well good luck with that. Not that I would be happy about it either, but I am realistic.

Rivets coming out of the clutch disc? I'd doubt that it would be a Kubota issue. Three times in 700 hours? Naw! Talk to the dealer and get a hydro!

If the typical tasks require sufficient torque to pop clutch rivets on a B7500, get a BIG HST tractor to replace it.

What kind of mowing?...what kind/size of mower, and how do you engage the mower? Explain throttle setting, clutch use, etc.
