A wonderful father's day.

It started with my 5 year old boy waking me up early. Mom and daughter were away overnight to a horse event. We had breakfast together and planned the day. (yesterday we spent the morning watching drag racing... a first for both of us) I sat on the deck drinking coffee and reading and watching him lug 10'x1"x3" strapping from a pile of lumber to add a roof to his swing/slide play unit. He stopped to mumble to himself about construction - as I do - sat down and took a few breaks - as I do - and considered a number of changes in design - as I do - throughout the project.

He was a joy to watch and I praised him all morning. His sister and mom were very impressed with his build - as was I!

The bonus was he put it all back at the end of the day... usually I DON'T!!!!!
