Fiat Allis 605 B

Hi,

my brother is at a cousin in Manitoba, Canada. They have a problem with their recently purchased Fiat Allis 605B. It wont pull, they think it must have a low gear range but cant find a gearlever.

I think it has an Allison transmission with two stage torque converter that shifts automatically. the roller cage often got stuck so it wont shift into 1st. (The guys at work told me, as the early loader models our company built in the late 60's to early 80's also had this Allison transmission)

Does anyone know if the F-A 605B did have this notorious Allison ?

Anybody to confirm the tranny make ? i'm sure somebody must have been around one of these !

Yes it a allison transmission that was sort of a odd bird we never sold many of them more 545 & 645

Was it an Allison 2000 tranny ? over here we used the same transmission in our VL1200-VL1800 range so i could make my uncle (cousin) happy with a copy of the manual.
