Howdy from Texas!

I just purchased a used Kubota B1550 which is my first tractor. It has a front loader and brush hog. It needs a few things like headlight lenses, taillights, etc. but mechanically works great. I just purchased 3.25 acres and need to keep the weeds down and do some irrigation work (moving dirt, etc.) and thought this would do the job.

If anyone has any advice/hints on the B1550, feel free to let me know.

A preacher in California had a sign outside his church "Talk to Anyone in Heaven for $10,000". A guy from Texas was driving by, saw the sign, turned right around and went to see the preacher. "Why so expensive". he asks. Wel, son, its a long distance call". "You know Father, back in Texas that call is only twenty five cents".

"How so?" the preacher asks.

Yep. I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could. Or another way to put it "Texan by choice".

Me, too; only been here since November, 1956. However, my paternal grandfather was born in Texas, but moved to Indian Territory when he was 5 years old and I was born on the land his parents homesteaded. So, some of my ancestors were native born Texans.
