Ideally you should remove the BH and FEL for mowing, if you want a quality cut. Weight and obstacles are the main issue.
On mine, the 3pt arms hit the BH subframe thus not allowing the MMM to reach it's intended cut height.
really there is no muscle involved in removing the impliments. 10 minutes and a little patience, that's all.
I don't believe that the 24 is any different than the 23 in this respect.
Hey Alan,
Welcome to TBN! Glad to see you posting.
I have moved your post to the Kubota Owning/Operating forum where the BX owners hang out.![]()
The reason for removing the BH is because you need the hydraulics for the lifting of the mowing deck. I would guess the you could leave the BH on and disconnect the lines and plug them together like they say in the book but then again that alot of weight on the back without the loader on the front. Not only that but leaving the FEL and BH on will make mowing difficult around object such as houses and tress ect ect ect.
If you need to remove them I would recomend looking at BXpanded's website. They make a set of dollies for the FEL and BH. Makes on and off a breeze. No lifiting or messing around. Roll it up, hook up your hydraulics, move the lever and insert the pins. Easy as pie. I made my own dolly for the FEL. Not as nice as the BXpaned but it worked. I will buy the BH dolly for sure.
Removing the mmm is easier than installing. Because .... recoupling the pto shaft is sometimes tricky to line up while laying on ones back.
Running the Backhoe with the MMM installed is not a problem. It's using the MMM with the BH hooked up that has the potential to cause damage.
