Milkman and his brother help me guess the weight at 80 to 90 lbs. I went ahead and installed it on tractor today.

Wouldn't that sort of be like reading the instructions? Do first and if I can't get it to work, then read instructions. I assure you, the paint will be coming off of the small teeth. I have a hillside full of small pines and briars so I may actually try the big teeth on this one to see how it does downing them.

I have an acre of blackberry bushes to extract on severe slopes!
Suggestions? Cancel BX25 order and buy a bigger tractor?

Order the BX and wait on the RatchetRake to extract blackberry bushes. I raised my mid mount mowing deck to highest setting on my BX2660 this week and mowed an area of blackberry bushes and small trees. I'll try the RatchetRake on some more of them later. Not sure you can tell much about the mowed and unmowed area from these pictures. The unmowed area is pretty steep and has some gullies which have washed out to pretty deep and scary when you get in them. If your going to use the BX25 on steep hills, take the BH off and add something really heavy. My BX25 scares me a bit on my slopes. I try and make sure it's straight up and down but that's almost impossible sometimes. My other tractors got scarier the bigger they were.

I'd like to see how the new rake works, looks like a serious piece of equipment, you might damage the paint, but I don't think you'll damage the rake.

I would have let you see how it works. All you had to do was get on the BX2660 and let me and your brother put it on and you just work your little heart out. I showed you the piles of dirt that needed to be leveled out with the RR and you sort of gave me the "go to it look" and didn't volunteer to do it for me. You and your brother are welcome to come back at any time and I'll have "trial work periods" for you. Enjoyed your visit and I ordered the up side QA today since your brother left me some money to pay for it after I gave my wife her share. Don't forget the fertilize spreader and maybe I can find some more goodies if you need anything. I got excited talking about my new plow today at Church with some Farmers. I told them it was so pretty I was going to put it up and not get it dirty. They just sort of stared at me.

No MMM planned as little grass but skid plates and wheel extenders!

Those are not rocks, they are bolders. They are just barely slopes, close to cliffs. Here are some pictures of a tilt meter, cost me a dollar at a flea market, has a magnetic base.

JT, You are correct! As usual.
I already purchased a deluxe tilt meter for the BX25! :thumbsup:
It shows tilt horizontally and vertically with color coding and visual aid.
Good advice! Best of success with the slight slopes. Be careful!

Same boat here. It's going to cost them a sale. I need it for a job coming up in late April / early May and TSC doesn't have them here in CT yet - checked last Friday. I will use my landscape rake for the upcoming job and get by with it. Unless some other suitable RR job comes along later this year, the money earmakred for it will be spent elsewhere.

If you ask me, it was not smart of them to discontinue on-line sales to states where TSC isn't carrying them yet.

She said to check their website in 2 weeks for an update on where they are available.

I too e-mailed and got the same response, albeit it took a few days to get a reply. Being in all TSC's by year's end didn't give me much hope they'll be in the the 3 TSCs in CT soon. But, I will keep an eye out.

There is a TSC store in Somerset, where I kive. Been here for a few years. I've been in the store maybe 5 or 6 times since it's been here and have bought a few items. Most times I've been there has not been a great and warm feeling experience. Maybe contact their internet customer assistance dept.
I smile when a new Lowe's opens. You can't walk through the store without 20 employees asking if they can help you. Return to that store a year later and you'll be surprised how many butts, back of heads and blank stares you see. Wife, daughter, son in law and brother have all worked for Lowe's and I know alot of them in the local store but bad employees, unreasonable demanding customers, unreasonable employers, idiot managers and under staffing create a bad work place, some times. Just an observation. I've worked and I've managed, both levels have their fair share of incompetent individuals. Rambling over one of the unsolvable problems of modern society.

Since I live in one of the towns that carries them, I should feel like I hit the lottery. However, I just called that TSC last week, and they hadn't heard of the Ratchet Rake. No surprise there. I think I'll visit today and have a look around myself.

I'd really like to know how much TSC is charging for them. My wife's godmother lives in Ocala, FL, but I'm not going to send her to pick one up for me if the price is not something I want to pay.
