QA bucket for LA504 loader, reduced lift capacity?

Yes have one and width is adjustable - full width of the bucket to about 18" apart - so they do not go totally side by side at the narrowest width like i have seen some - have not come across any problem with that setup so far. And they are on a sliding bar as opposed to increment notches so just push it to where you want it. Once you have it set, they do not seem to move.

I dug out some printouts of specs from when I was researching tractors because I was curious about this myself.

On that 504 loader the breakout force is 2474 at the pivot pin and 1737 about 20 inches forward of that. That is a 737 pound loss at probably the front of the bucket. So at 737 divided by 20 you lose about 37 pounds of force per inch moving forward. The QA moves the pivot point out about 4 inches so 4 X 37 is 148. So theoretically (at least according to my crude calculations) you would lose about 148 pounds of breakout force. Sound about right? I'm not an engineer so there may be other considerations.

Thanks, I looked at my loader manual and estimated about the same as you. I just wasn't sure how far out the QA put the bucket.

I use it for all sorts of things from pushing out small trees and brush, to doing light excavating, loading manure, moving logs, moving dirt and gravel, etc. I often use the tractor and loader to near its capacity, so I like to keep as much lifting/roll back power on reserve as possible.

Thanks for that link, I've been thinking of a bucket like that, but never actually seen one.They QA is only $279, so I might get one anyways, but I do like the look of that setup.

Stupid question but I am trying to get a B2620 and I would love to have the 60 LM bucket and some sort of forks. Can I put these on with out the QA?

Yeah, you can just pin them on with the greased pins every time but it is messy and inconvenient. The breakout loss isn't that bad, in fact it is less on the B2620 than the B3200 according to my calculations but maybe the specs are off or something. Anyway if you don't mind grease all over and the time it takes you can knock the pins out every time. I think the QA is worth it, two hundred something bucks.
