kubota b3200
hi folk's, mounted ballast box on my b3200's 3ph. it is ~ 6 inches off the ground in the down position, so you can not take the weight off the tractor when not in use. my question is, is this the correct box for my tractor, do i have it mounted incorrectly, or do i just need to use some cribbing under box to take the load off tractor or to remove box? thanks for any guidance.

I think there is NO WAY you can mount the box incorrectly. I don't own a factory made weight box so my guess would be that you have to use some blocking to lower the weight onto and uncouple it from the hitch. I made two different ballasts so far and built both in the way that they don't hit the ground when the hitch is all the way down. I use some 2x stuff and put it onto that.

Is it the Kubota B/BX factory box? Mine says on the back add 500 lbs for a B, 300 for a Bx something like that. When the three point is lowered it should sit on the ground. I have a B2620 which is somewhat smaller and it sits on the ground. I am assuming it should with the b3200 as well. If not something is wrong like maybe you need to adjust the stop, I believe it's in the manual.

You definitely want to be able to set the thing down on the ground.

I had the factory box and got rid of it for that very reason. So I built my own little bracket and hung some tractor weights on it. Everything sits on the ground when unhooked and I can be hooked or unhooked in 10 seconds.

You could possibly need a bigger box for that tractor than the factory one for the B-series/ Bx if that is what you have. Don't know if they make one, probably the Kubota Web-Site tells you. You could always set it on cribbing to remove /install it but it's very good to be able to set it on the ground as a brake, or for stability etc. while working the tractor.

It could be the position of the lift rods on the 3ph. There are two holes in the arms in one spot you get more lift hieght and less cap. and the other gives less hieght and more cap. this position will put the box closer to the ground.
