Tires and rims that are currently on the gator are:
AT-489
Front 25x10.0 -12
Rears 25x11.0 -12

Over the holidays I picked up a smashing deal on Ebay for a full set of OEM JD rims.
The rims say:
Front 12x7
Rears 12x8

Here is my question. I have been eyeballin the Grim Reaper tire but I am not sure what sizes would fit on my new rims. I would like the largest possible for the rim and that would fit ok on the gator and not cause problems. I just know nothing of tire and rim measurements and how it works. :(

Any help and and comments on my project would be greatly appreciated.

Is it me or do those rear wheels appear to be more than an inch wider than the front...

Measure the overall height of yor existing tires to maintain clearances and buy a tire that has that height and will fit the rim width that you bought...Shouldn't be a big deal.

Hope you are right about their being JD Gator compatible wheels. They look like they have quite a bit of offset on the wheel spider, almost like they are for a FWD car. That puts the center of tire quite a bit inboard. This reduces inside wheel clearance and also reduces rollover stability. (Nice looking wheels, though).

Good point about the offset...They look really wide. I've seen that style on ATV's/UTV's before, but who knows...Looks to have the right number of lugs:D
